Shashi Shekhar Sharma, born on August 6, 1958, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 Bihar cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in English. Throughout his career, Sharma served in various capacities including Director, Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Additional Finance Commissioner, Managing Director, Deputy Secretary, Administrator, Additional Secretary, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, Joint Secretary, Assistant Collector and Additional District Magistrate, and Director General. His most recent position was Director General at Patna, Bihar, in the Rural Development Department, commencing on September 1, 2016.
