Shashi Shekhar, born on 28 December 1956, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1981 Tamil Nadu cadre. A graduate in Geology, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Director, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and Managing Director. His most recent role was Secretary in the Department of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation from June 2015 to December 2016. Throughout his career, he held multiple key positions such as Special Secretary Equivalent, Financial Advisor, Executive Director, Special Resident Commissioner, and Officer on Special Duty to the Minister.
