Shashanka Ala, born on November 10, 1988, is a 2014 batch IAS officer from the A G M U T cadre. She holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering and an M.Tech. in Microelectronics and VLSI from IIT Madras. Currently, she serves as the Administrative Secretary at Ladakh since March 2, 2026. Her departmental responsibilities include Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Information Technology, and Social and Tribal Welfare. Fluent in English and Telugu, Shashanka Ala continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
