Sharif Alam, born on November 19, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 Bihar cadre. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Additional Secretary, Deputy Secretary, and District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent position was Additional Secretary at Patna, Bihar, in the Department of Schedule Tribe and Schedule Caste Development from November 6 to November 30, 2009.
