Sharat Chauhan, born on 17 November 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1994 batch, serving in the A G M U T cadre. He holds an M.B.B.S. degree from M.K.C.G. Medical College. Currently, he is the Chief Secretary at Pondicherry, a position he assumed on 29 January 2024, within the Union Territory of Puducherry. Throughout his career, he has held various roles including Principal Secretary to Government, Technical Officer Joint Secretary Equivalent, Secretary to Chief Minister, Private Secretary, Secretary & Director, Managing Director, Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Development Commissioner Deputy Secretary Equivalent, Commissioner, Additional Secretary, and Additional Director.
