Shalini Vasisht, a 1986 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre, was born on December 16, 1958. She holds a graduate degree in Chemistry and a postgraduate degree in Organic Chemistry. Throughout her career in the Indian Administrative Service, she served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Deputy Secretary, Deputy Commissioner, Controller, Joint Secretary, Joint Commissioner, Director, and Commissioner. Her most recent position was Officer on Special Duty to Minister Director in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from July 25, 2007, to July 13, 2010, within the Survey Settlement and Land Records department. She is now retired.
