Shailesh Kumar Singh, born on 28 March 1966, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1991 batch, Jharkhand cadre. Currently serving as Secretary in the Rural Development Department under the Ministry of Rural Development, New Delhi (since 01/12/2022), he holds a B.Tech. degree and a postgraduate qualification from Harvard University. His extensive career includes roles such as Officer on Special Duty, Additional Secretary & Development Commissioner, Principal Secretary, Chief Vigilance Officer, Joint Secretary (including Urban Transport), Director, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Secretary, Special Secretary, Settlement Officer, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, and District Magistrate. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
