Shailendra Kumar, born on October 8, 1969, is a 1995 batch IAS officer of the A G M U T cadre. He holds an M.A. in History from Patna University. Currently serving as the Financial Commissioner (ACS) in the Finance Department of Jammu & Kashmir since February 23, 2026, he has previously held positions including Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) and Principal Secretary. Fluent in English and Hindi, Shailendra Kumar continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service, contributing to the governance and administration of his cadre.
