Shailendra Kumar, born on October 8, 1969, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1995 batch, assigned to the A G M U T cadre. He holds an M.A. in History from Patna University. Currently, he serves as the Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) in the Finance Department of Jammu and Kashmir since February 23, 2026. Throughout his career, he has held positions including Financial Commissioner (Additional Chief Secretary) and Principal Secretary. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
