Shahidul Islam, born on October 12, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 batch, West Bengal cadre. During his career, he served in the Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education Department. His most recent position was Secretary at Kolkata, West Bengal, from January 9, 2013, to October 31, 2014. Prior to this, he held roles including Secretary, Project Director, and Joint Commissioner.
