Seema Jain, born on January 1, 1967, is a 1991 batch IAS officer of the Punjab cadre. She currently serves as Member (Finance) in the Department of Space, Ministry of Space, New Delhi (since August 1, 2023). Her educational qualifications include a P.G. in Modern Indian History, an M.A. in Energy Policy from Carlton University, Ottawa, and an M.B.A. in Public Policy from Birmingham University. Throughout her career, she has held various key positions such as Additional Chief Secretary, Financial Commissioner, Principal Secretary to the Government of Punjab, and Director of Census Operations. She received a Silver Medal for outstanding work in Census 2011.
