Sawan Kumar, born on February 2, 1989, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2015 batch, serving in the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.A. in History from Bhagalpur's T.M.B.U. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including District Development Commissioner, Sub-Divisional Officer, Assistant Secretary, Collector, and District Magistrate. Since June 2, 2025, he has been serving as the District Magistrate of Supaul, Bihar. Sawan Kumar continues to serve in the IAS with a focus on administrative responsibilities within the state of Bihar.
