Saurabh Garg, born on 28 July 1964, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 1991 batch, Odisha cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT, an MBA in Finance from IIM, and a Ph.D. in International Economics from Johns Hopkins University. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation since 16 April 2025. His past roles include CEO, Managing Director, Principal Secretary to Government, Joint Secretary, Commissioner & Secretary, Chairman, Adviser to Executive Director, Director, Deputy Secretary, District Collector and District Magistrate, Project Director, Sub Collector, Secretary, and CMD. He has received awards including Best All Round Probationer of 199
