Satyajit Thakur, born on February 6, 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Divisional Commissioner at Jhansi (2011-2014), Principal Secretary, Director, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, Special Secretary, District Magistrate, and Chief Development Officer. His service was primarily within the Land Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Thakur’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles across the Uttar Pradesh government until his retirement.
