Satish Singh Thakur, born on January 6, 1945, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Bihar cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Sub-Divisional Officer, Project Director, Officer on Special Duty to Minister, Joint Secretary, Additional Secretary, and District Collector and Magistrate. His most recent position was Special Secretary in the Cabinet Secretariat Department from December 20, 2001, to January 31, 2005. Mr. Thakur's extensive service reflects his commitment to administrative roles within the Indian government.
