Satish M Gavai, born on August 30, 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Physics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Deputy Commissioner, District Collector, Transport Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and Director. He also held roles as Private Secretary and Vice Chairman & Managing Director. His most recent position was Principal Secretary at Mumbai, Maharashtra, within the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment. Mr. Gavai’s extensive service reflects a broad administrative experience across multiple levels of government.
