Saryu Prasad, born on January 26, 1935, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Bihar cadre. He held the position of District Collector and Magistrate from June 1, 1990, to January 1, 1993. His most recent role was Director of Census Operations in the Land Revenue Department. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Junior Scale, Deputy Secretary, and Under Secretary. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, and graduate degrees in Law and Philosophy.
