Saryu Prasad, born on January 26, 1935, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Bihar cadre. He holds postgraduate qualifications in Psychology, and graduate degrees in Law and Philosophy. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Junior Scale, and Director. His most recent designation was District Collector and Magistrate from June 1, 1990, to January 1, 1993. He also worked in the Land Revenue Department as Director of Census Operations.
