Sarmad Hafeez, born on 27 February 1967, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 batch, assigned to the AGMUT cadre. He holds degrees in LL.B. and LL.M. Currently, he serves as the Commissioner/Secretary to the Government at Jammu and Kashmir in the Social Welfare Department, a position he has held since 12 July 2025. Throughout his career, he has also held the position of Secretary to the Government. He remains in active service.
