Santosh Kumar Mall, born on 14 August 1973, is a 1997 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and M.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary in the Water Resource Department, Bihar, since 31 August 2024. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary, PS to Minister, Commissioner, Managing Director, Secretary, District Officer, District Collector and Magistrate, Additional Secretary, Administrator, Joint Secretary, Deputy Development Commissioner, Under Secretary, and Sub-Divisional Officer. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
