Santosh Dattatraya Vaidya, born on 14 April 1974, is a 1998 batch IAS officer of the A G M U T cadre. Currently serving as Principal Secretary at Delhi's Home Department since 16 February 2026, he has held various key positions including Secretary to the Chief Minister, Chairperson, Joint Secretary, and Special Secretary. His educational credentials include certificates in History from the University of Virginia, Energy Studies from the University of Texas System, and Management from the French Ministry of Education, Paris. He has received awards such as the Edward Mason Fellowship and appreciation certificates for election management and urban water supply planning. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
