Santosh Dattatraya Vaidya, born on April 14, 1974, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1998 batch, assigned to the A G M U T cadre. He currently serves as the Principal Secretary in the Home Department, Delhi, a position he has held since February 16, 2026. Mr. Vaidya holds a B.Tech. in Instrumentation from IIT Kharagpur, an M.A. in Economics from IGNOU Delhi, and a Master’s in Public Policy from Johns Hopkins University. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi. Throughout his career, he has also served as Principal Secretary in various capacities.
