Sanjiv Saran, born on 16 November 1959, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.E. in Mechanical Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Management. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector and Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Special Secretary, Director, Additional Chief Executive Officer, Chief Executive Officer, and General Manager. His most recent position was Director in the Culture Department from 6 March 2013 to 30 November 2019. Sanjiv Saran’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership roles within the Uttar Pradesh government.
