Sanjiv Nair, born on 28 May 1954, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a graduate and postgraduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Mission Director, Secretary Director, Chief Executive Officer, Commissioner, Counsellor, Director, Deputy Secretary, Joint Managing Director, Deputy Managing Director, District Collector and Magistrate, Vice Chairperson, and Executive Magistrate. His most recent position was Director General in the Science and Technology Department at Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, from 3 May 2013 to 31 May 2014.
