Dr. Sanjiv Misra, born on December 16, 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1972 Gujarat cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Economics, a postgraduate degree in Public Administration, and a graduate degree in Economics. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary, Additional Secretary & FA, Joint Secretary, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Resident Commissioner, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Collector, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Collector. His most recent position was Secretary at Gujarat's Finance Department (Expenditure) from November 1, 2006, to March 31, 2008.
