Dr. Sanjiv Misra, born on 16 December 1947, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1972 Gujarat cadre. He holds a Ph.D. in Petroleum Economics, a postgraduate degree in Public Administration, and a graduate degree in Economics. During his career, he served in various capacities including Secretary at Gujarat from November 2006 to March 2008, Additional Secretary, Joint Secretary, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Resident Commissioner, Commissioner, Managing Director, District Collector, and Deputy Commissioner. His most recent role was Secretary in the Finance Department (Expenditure). Dr. Misra also served as Officer on Special Duty to the Deputy Prime Minister.
