Sanjiv Kumar Besra, born on 22 December 1978, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2012 batch, Jharkhand cadre. He holds a graduate degree in History (Hons) from Banaras Hindu University and a postgraduate diploma in Mass Communication from the Indian Institute of Mass Communication. Currently, he serves as the Mission Director-cum-CEO of JSDMS at Jharkhand in the Department of Labour, Employment, Training and Skill Development. His previous roles include Transport Commissioner and Labour Commissioner. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve in the IAS.
