Sanjeev Verma, born on April 6, 1974, is a 2001 batch IAS officer of the AGMUT cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering and an M.B.A. in Marketing. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary at Jammu and Kashmir in the Election Department since January 13, 2026. His extensive career includes roles such as Chief Electoral Officer, Divisional Commissioner, Transport Commissioner, Deputy Commissioner, and Managing Director. Fluent in Dogri, English, and Hindi, Verma continues to contribute to public administration in his ongoing service with the Indian Administrative Service.
