Sanjeev Ranjan, born on January 21, 1963, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1985 batch, Tripura cadre. He served as Secretary in the Ports, Shipping and Waterways Department from April 30, 2020, to January 31, 2023. His educational qualifications include an M.B.A. in Business Administration, a B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering, and a postgraduate degree in National Security. Throughout his career, he held various positions such as Principal Secretary, Chief Secretary to Government, Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Joint Secretary, Chief Electoral Officer, Resident Commissioner, District Collector and Magistrate, among others.
