Sanjeev Kumar, born on October 1, 1970, is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Maharashtra cadre. He holds a B.E. in Electronics and an M.Tech in Communication Engineering from IIT, along with an MBA in Financial Management from Mumbai University. Currently serving as Secretary in the Department of Defence Production under the Ministry of Defence since July 2, 2025, he has held various positions including Chairman, Managing Director, Mission Director, Divisional Commissioner, Joint Secretary, and District Collector. Proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi, Sanjeev Kumar continues to contribute to public administration in India.
