Sanjay Garg, born on 10 October 1970, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre. He holds B.Tech. and M.Tech. degrees. Currently, he serves as the Director General of the Bureau of Indian Standards under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in New Delhi since 3 November 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including OSD, Additional Secretary, Principal Secretary, Executive Director, Joint Secretary, Director, Secretary (Finance), District Collector, Coordinator, Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, Under Secretary, and Managing Director. He is proficient in English and Hindi.
