Sanjay Agarwal, born on March 19, 1962, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1984 Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. and a postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent role was Secretary of the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department from September 30, 2018, to March 31, 2022. Agarwal also held positions such as Secretary to the Chief Minister, Managing Director, Development Commissioner, and Chief Development Officer, demonstrating extensive administrative experience across multiple departments.
