Sandeep Poundrik, born on October 3, 1968, is a 1993 batch IAS officer of the Bihar cadre. He holds an M.E. in Electrical Engineering and is currently serving as Secretary at the Ministry of Steel, New Delhi, since July 2, 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Sub-Divisional Officer, Principal Secretary to Government, Director General, Adviser, Joint Secretary, Chairman and Managing Director, Special District Development Officer, Inspector General, Deputy Inspector General, Project Director, Additional Secretary, District Magistrate, District Collector and Magistrate, Deputy Development Commissioner, and Additional Chief Secretary. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Marathi.
