Sandeep Bagchee, born on December 18, 1948, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1973 Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Physics and a postgraduate degree in Sociology. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Joint Secretary, Principal Secretary, Secretary, Managing Director, Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, and Deputy Director General. His most recent designation was Joint Secretary at Maharashtra. Post-retirement, he was associated with the Society for Participatory Research in Asia (PRIA).
