Samir Kumar Sinha, born on 16 November 1969, is a 1994 batch IAS officer of the Assam Meghalaya cadre. He holds a B.A. and M.A. from Hindu College, Delhi, and a Postgraduate Diploma from IIM Ahmedabad. Currently, he serves as Additional Secretary & Director General (Acquisition) at the Department of Defence, Ministry of Civil Aviation, New Delhi, a position he has held since 18 April 2025. Mr. Sinha is proficient in Assamese, Bengali, English, and Hindi. He continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
