Sameer Verma, born on 21 September 1972, is an Indian Administrative Service officer of the 2002 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Sc. and LL.B. in Mathematics. Currently, he serves as Secretary in the Planning Department of Uttar Pradesh since 8 October 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Joint Magistrate, Joint Secretary, Director, Deputy Secretary, PS to Minister, District Magistrate, District Collector, and Secretary. He is proficient in English and Hindi. Sameer Verma continues to serve in the IAS, contributing to the administration of Uttar Pradesh.
