He served as Chief Secretary to the Government in the Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department. His extensive career includes roles such as Deputy Secretary to CM, Joint Collector, Director General, Joint Secretary, Managing Director, Principal Secretary, and District Collector. He received the V Ramachandran Award for Excellence in Urban Decentralization and a Doctor of Letters degree.
