Samarth Verma, born on 15 October 1987, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2011 batch, Odisha cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Currently, he serves as Director at the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways (MoPSW) in New Delhi since 30 September 2025. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Director, Collector and District Magistrate, Additional Secretary, Additional Chief Commissioner, Project Director, Managing Director, and Managing Director. He is proficient in English, Hindi, and Oriya (Odia). Samarth Verma continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
