Sachin Rana, born on June 3, 1984, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2014 batch, serving in the A G M U T cadre. He holds a B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering from IIT Delhi and an M.P.A. in Public Administration from Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). Currently, he is the Special Secretary at the Home Department, Delhi, a position he has held since February 16, 2026. His previous roles include Special Commissioner, Additional Chief Electoral Officer, and Assistant Commissioner. He is proficient in English and Hindi and continues to serve actively in the IAS.
