Sabyasachi Roy, born on January 1, 1949, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He held various positions including Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, and Additional Executive Officer. His most recent role was Special Secretary in the Higher Education Department from January 24, 2007, to December 31, 2008. Roy holds an M.B.A. in Finance, a graduate degree in Physics, and an LL.B. in Law. Throughout his career, he served in multiple capacities within the administrative framework of West Bengal.
