S Subbiah, born on June 4, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 Kerala cadre. He holds a Graduate degree in Veterinary Science and an MBA in Business Administration. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Director, Secretary, Special Secretary, Additional Secretary, Managing Director, and Registrar. His most recent position was Principal Secretary in the Power Department from February 18, 2011, to June 30, 2012. Subbiah’s extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Kerala cadre.
