S Selvakumar, born on 10 July 1968, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1997 Karnataka cadre. He holds degrees in Civil Engineering (A.M.I.E.), LL.B. from Madras University, and M.A. from Karnataka University. Currently, he serves as the Principal Secretary in the Department of Commerce and Industry, Bengaluru, since 11 February 2023. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary to Government, Secretary to Chief Minister, Joint Secretary, Director, Managing Director, Deputy Commissioner, and Assistant Commissioner. He is proficient in Hindi, Kannada, and Tamil. Mr. Selvakumar remains in active service.
