He served in the Revenue and Forest Department, holding key positions including District Collector and District Magistrate at Yavatmal, Maharashtra. Prior to this, he worked as a Project Officer. A graduate by education, Deshmukh dedicated his career to administrative roles within the state government until his retirement.
