S. Rajalingam, born on January 8, 1982, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 2009 batch, Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds a B.Tech. degree in Chemical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the District Magistrate and Collector of Varanasi since November 4, 2022, under the Government of Uttar Pradesh. His previous roles include District Collector, Special Secretary, Municipal Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer, Chief Development Officer, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Joint Magistrate, Assistant Collector, and Executive Magistrate. He is proficient in English, Tamil, and Hindi. Mr. Rajalingam continues to serve in the Indian Administrative Service.
