S R Mehta, born on January 9, 1932, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1979 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate and postgraduate degrees in Chemistry. During his service, he worked in the Information and Broadcasting Department. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary at Gujarat, serving from May 1, 1988, to January 1, 1990.
