S R Bhownik, born on July 5, 1937, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch of the West Bengal cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree and a graduate degree in Philosophy. During his career, he served in various capacities including Director, Additional Executive Officer, and Member Secretary. His most recent position was Member Secretary in the Agriculture and Cooperation Department, held from July 1, 1991, to July 1, 1995.
