S O Sonawane, born on December 10, 1952, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1996 batch, Maharashtra cadre. He holds a graduate degree and has served in various capacities throughout his career, including Joint Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, and CEO. His most recent designation was District Collector at Raigad, Maharashtra. Throughout his tenure, Sonawane contributed to the administration of the state until his retirement.
