S N Roychowdhury, born on April 9, 1946, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 batch, West Bengal cadre. He holds a graduate degree and has served in various capacities throughout his career, including Additional District Magistrate and Joint Secretary. Most recently, he was the Secretary of the Public Enterprises Department from October 3, 2002, to April 30, 2006. His service reflects a dedicated tenure in the Indian Administrative Service.
