S Mohapatra, born on 17 February 1939, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch of the Odisha cadre. Throughout his career, he held various positions including Additional District Magistrate, Under Secretary, Deputy Secretary, Joint Secretary, and Director. His most recent role was Director in the Local Self Government Department from 1 July 1992 to 28 February 1997. Mohapatra’s extensive service in administrative roles reflects his long-standing commitment to public administration within the Odisha cadre.
