S M S Ahmed, born on 22 June 1944, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1988 Bihar cadre. He holds a postgraduate degree in Economics and a graduate degree in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Development Commissioner, District Magistrate, Director, and District Collector and Magistrate from 1 October 2001 to 30 June 2004. His most recent role was with the Land Revenue Department as Director of Census Operations. Mr. Ahmed’s extensive administrative experience spans multiple leadership positions within the Bihar cadre.
