S M Pandit, born on May 6, 1934, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1983 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds graduate degrees in Law and History. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Deputy Collector, Deputy Commissioner, Additional Commissioner, Deputy Secretary, General Manager, Managing Director, and Director. His most recent position was Director at Gujarat from August 1, 1990, to May 1, 1992, within the Department of Textiles.
