S L Verma, born on September 25, 1937, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1963 batch, Gujarat cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in English. Throughout his career, he served in various capacities including Assistant Collector, Superintendent, Deputy General Manager, District Development Officer, District Collector, Deputy Secretary, Chairman, Secretary, and Additional Chief Secretary. His most recent position was Additional Chief Secretary at Gujarat from April 1, 1993, to September 30, 1995, within the Department of Health and Family Welfare. Verma's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative career in the Gujarat government.
