S K Prabakar, born on 15 January 1966, is a 1989 batch IAS officer of the Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department since 13 June 2022. Throughout his career, he has held various positions including Principal Secretary, Project Director, Chairman and Managing Director, Secretary to the Chief Minister, District Collector, and Officer on Special Duty. He remains in active service within the Indian Administrative Service.
