S K Prabakar, born on 15 January 1966, is an Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1989 Tamil Nadu cadre. He holds a graduate degree in Electrical Engineering. Currently, he serves as the Additional Chief Secretary and Commissioner at Chennai, Tamil Nadu, a position he has held since 13 June 2022 in the Revenue and Disaster Management Department. Throughout his career, he has held various significant roles including Principal Secretary, Project Director, Chairman and Managing Director, Secretary to the Chief Minister, District Collector, and Additional Secretary. He continues to serve in the IAS with extensive administrative experience in Tamil Nadu.
