S K Khare, born on July 1, 1938, is a retired Indian Administrative Service officer from the 1982 batch of the Uttar Pradesh cadre. He holds postgraduate and graduate degrees in English Literature. Throughout his career, Khare served in various capacities including Special Secretary, Joint Secretary, Commissioner, Additional Director, Additional Commissioner, Joint Director, Managing Director, Secretary, and Administrator. His most recent position was Deputy Secretary in the Science and Technology Department from August 1, 1995, to June 30, 1996. Khare's extensive service reflects a diverse administrative experience within the Uttar Pradesh cadre.
